Hi, I'm Julie. I am the creator of Kids Trail Running. Trail running is an important part of my life, my family's life, and my relationships. I wanted to create an inspirational running site for anyone, including parents & families who run or want to run.
I'm a mom to four young and accomplished trail runners.
And a wife to a trail loving, ultra runner husband.
I’m a runner, yogi, and avid traveler. I’ve completed ultras. I’ve crewed ultramarathons, organized trail races, and hosted aid stations over the years with kids in tow.
I love to spend time outside with my family. Some of my happiest moments in life have taken place on the trail while running, racing, hiking, and walking with my children–like racing 25Ks together, hiking to mountain huts in the Alps, and sharing Swedish fish along the trail.
I love to encourage people to run, especially families. Running is a lifelong activity that creates and strengthens deep relationship bonds, personal growth, confidence, self-respect, and an appreciation of the world around us.
Running is inherently centering and positive for overall well-being, too; it’s a path toward discovery of our authentic selves and meaning.
Running is life changing and inspiring, not only for grownups, but for kids.
